Obituary of Pearl Olivia Evans

passed away peacefully at Kentmere Nursing Care Center on December 9, 2014 in Wilmington, Delaware at the age of 84. Pearl was born on March 23, 1930 in Greensboro, Maryland to the late Mary Elizabeth Johnson and Rayfield Thomas Wilmer Groce. She graduated from Lockerman High School in Ridgley, Maryland. She married William D. Evans Sr. on July 31, 1951 and spent her life caring and providing for her family. She was a devout member at Mother AUFCMP Church in Wilmington, Delaware where she actively participated on the Usher Board and Elders Ministry. She was preceded in death by her late husband, William Evans Sr. of Wilmington, Delaware and her son, Gregory Evans of Hawaii. Pearl is survived by her loving children Cheryl Drew (Nelson) of Avondale, Pennsylvania, William Evans Jr. (Carla) of Yuba City, California, Michael Evans (Anna) of Petaluma, California, Derrick Evans of Wilmington, Delaware, and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
