Only GOD can create a name synonymous to one of HIS most precious creations. As was Ms. Pearl, one of GOD's precious creations. I remember always smiling and making you laugh. This kind of care was important to a child and never taken lightly. William (Bill), Cheryl, Michael and Derrick, my prayers are with you as you lay to eternal rest one of GOD's precious creations, your Mom. It is difficult, yet the memories are always yours to keep. Stay strong! Be Encouraged. For GOD is always with you all. --Wanda Green & Family

Cheryl, sorry to hear about your loss, you have my condolences. Losing a mother is most hurtful, it's not going to be easy. It takes one day at a time. Just remember the good times and her smile, that's what has been working for me. She's smiling down on you.
Love,
Shawn White

Losing my mother the first time was very painful. To lose my second mother figure is even more difficult. Knowing no one can take your place, I am forever thankful for all you've done for me and will always cherish you in my heart. Rest in God's Paradise. Your sis - Marie Blake

My heart is filled with so many emotions. I am sad because "my beautiful" is no longer with us; yet, I am happy she is with God and no longer suffering. The past few years have been both rough and a joy. Rough as I did not want to see her in the state she was in; and, a joy because even in her dark moments, she found a way to keep me smiling and laughing. We became an ever-present comfort to one another on days no one else could. The daily phone calls, the short walks, the time we spent sitting on "our bench", swinging our legs and eating ice cream, listening to and telling one another jokes and inspirational quotes are just a few of the things I will cherish. She gave me so much and she didn't realize it. She gave me purpose! A purpose to get up each day as I knew she would be waiting to hear from me or see me. A purpose to help someone and make them smile. A purpose to encourage someone in their time of darkness and need. A purpose to smile and laugh and enjoy days I would have let go by. I am going to miss "my beautiful" in an unexplainable way. Cheryl, Bill, Mike, Derrick and the rest of her family members and friends - hold tight to her memory.. Keep her close to your heart and she will never be far away. Love you all - Jubee

To one of my best friends, Cheryl, and my Evans brothers: my deepest sympathy in the loss of your Mom. We loved her but God loved her best. She was a beautiful, fun, loving woman. Although my nickname is Pee Wee, Mom Pearl gave me a special nickname - Precious and Pretty! When she called me that my heart smiled. She loved so many of us, who were not her own children, in a very special way. I will miss her smile and hearing my darling nickname:-). RIP Mom Pearl. Tell my Mom I said hello and we will see each other again one day. Love ya.

I cant remember if it was Kindergarten or 1st grade, I remember a little long hair girl was walking with her mom as I walked with my mom to Harlan. Scared about going alone, My mom said there is my friend from Daybreak or Methodist Country House or one of those places, Pearl Evans with her little girl.....you be a big girl...most everyday Ms. Pearl would assure me that I was going to have a good day...Some things people do for you, no matter how small it may seem are the things that help you make it through.
To my friend Cheryl and all the Evans boys, your mom was special , and I know she will be missed. My prayers are with you! Arlene Eaddy Beard

Aunt Pearl, I could never cry when I was in your presence because you always turned my tears into laughter. A rare quality!!! And you made the best potato salad EVER. There will always be a void, but when I think about you, there will always be a smile. You are forever loved...Michael, Karen (Bootsie), Toni, Cherrita, Charda', Gordy, Imena and Jada.
