Obituary of Anthony J. Burton

Anthony J. Burton passed away Sunday, February 9, 2014 after a long illness. Anthony graduated from Cape Henlopen High School, and went on to receive a Bachelor of Science, Economics from Swarthmore College. He received his Master of Science in Finance and Accounting from the University of Delaware. He was a Certified Public Accountant, Tax Consultant and Manager with the US Department of Treasury. He was ordained as a Deacon in the Baptist church and an avid golfer. An 'analyzer, deep thinker', he had high expectations for himself and everyone he met. He was a member of the Seeds of Greatness Bible Church. He was a loving husband to Ella, father, "big brother" and a blessing to his family and friends. Anthony will be sorely missed. Anthony is preceded in death by his stepfather Weldon Daniels, Jr. and brother Alfonso Winder. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, daughter Priscilla, son Aaron, godson Kietel, grandson Austin, mother Gloria Daniels, father Ralph Winder, and 8 brothers and 6 sisters. Celebration of Life will begin at 10:00am on Saturday, February 15, 2014 at Seeds of Greatness Bible Church, 828 Frenchtown Rd, New Castle, De., Viewing 8:00am-9:30am Only.
