Obituary of Rev. Fred L. Banks

Fred Leroy Banks was born on September 4,1936 in King's William, Virginia to Lottie and Fraizer Banks. He passed on Thursday October 29, 2020 in Wilmington, Delaware. After graduating from Howard High School, Fred decided to pursue his higher education and graduated from Goldey-Beacom College. He worked at Union Baptist Community Center for many years. Fred was a faithful member of Central Baptist Church. He had many hobbies and interest. His main interest was studying his Bible and his favorite past time was helping people. He had a Heart of gold! Fred was preceded in death by his father, Fraizer Banks and best friend, Reverend Willie F. Tymes. Fred is survived by his children, Alexandria (Charles) Banks Miller, Devy Banks, Fredricka (Ricki) Smith and Emmett Lenoir; mother, Lottie Banks; siblings, Cornelius Banks and Ernestine Banks; grandchildren, Tanya Johniken, Calvin LaRue Jr. and Tessa Banks; a host of great grandchildren, nieces, cousins and best friend, Zelda Johnson.
