Obituary of Tyler Palmer Brooks
Tyler “T.Y.” Brooks was born on September 20, 1957 in Easton, Maryland to Kenneth and Helen Brooks. He passed on Thursday, July 30, 2020 in Wilmington, Delaware.
T.Y. is a proud graduate of Howard High School’s Class of 1975. After school he worked for Amtrak for 33 years before retirement. He also was a barber by trade for 45 years, and was well known for cutting hair. He was everyone’s barber!
T.Y. was a member of Ezion Mount Carmel United Methodist Church. As a faithful servant of God, he selflessly dedicated his life to the City of Wilmington.
T.Y. was preceded in death by his parents Kenneth and Helen Brooks, brother Ronald, Vincent, Douglas, and Michael Brooks.
T.Y. is survived by his 3 children Tyler A.H., Tywan, and Tyonna Brooks, 1 daughter-in-law Sunita Roberts-Brooks, 1 grand-daughter Alora Brooks, and ex-wife Peggy Brooks; Siblings Donald (Pearl), Gary (Dale), Teresa (Clinton), Bart (Tina), and Stacy Brooks, Uncle Donald Brooks, Aunt Beanie Brooks, nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends.
