Chris and I lived acouple houses down from Colburn in Elkton. He was a wonderful spirit and a very kind hearted man. Colburn was a very dear friend to us and he was the kind of person who would do anything for anybody. It saddens me to think that he is no longer with us. I will miss his wonderful hugs that he would give and his warm smile. We miss you Colburn and you will forever be a part of our family. We love you.

In the early to mid 1940's,the Sewell family were neighbors of my family in Chesapeake City, MD. Perry Sewell, Colburn's father, introduced Colburn and his brother, Irvin to me as we were around the same age. Over a period of time, Mr.Sewell, taught us how to Fish in the Canal, Boxing and many other boyhood joys of life. Even though I entered the Military in 1955 and served for 30 yrs, Colburn and I kept in touch. Colburn my brother, GOD Bless your Soul!!

To The Family,
Please accept my condolence, knowing that the Bible refers to death as an enemy that will soon be "brought to nothing", according to 1 Corinthians 15 26.
Is it not encouraging when we reflect on Jesus Christ's assurance that one day all of mankind will have the privilege of reuniting with our loved ones who have fallen asleep in death? This loving promise is found at John 5 28, 29.
Again, please accept my condolence.

Colburn was a great friend to us and our families. Growing up in Chesapeake, everyone knew him and liked him and the Sewell family. We worked with Colurn at the Town Hall for years. He was always ready to help everyone. My father
(Bill Martin) and Colburn use to box down at the Wharf and go up to my grandmothers bar and have a few.
Rest in Peace Colburn
