To the family of the late Rev.Dr.James W. Davis
It is with deepest sympathy that I do send my heartfelt condolences and I too share in the loss of Doc. When I was in middle school Doc was our student advisor and soon after a few visit and being sent out of class to his office I became his assistant during that time Doc shared alot with me regarding the gospel and gospel music and the struggles that we as African Americans had to face in the earlier years. And for all of that I am greatful to him and even years afterwards I would from time to time call him to check on him and we would talk more about the old days and the James Davis Singers. Precious memories how they linger how they ever flood our souls , and that is what I will always remember and hold fast too those precious memories. Doc Goodnight sleep now and I'll see you in the morning.
Respectfully Submitted,
Elder Michael T. Diggs
