John Alexander Whittington, age 90 of New Castle, DE passed away July 28, 2009 at his residence surrounded by his family. He was a member of Local 199 Laborers International Union of North America for more than 50 years. John was a member of Ezion-Mt. Carmel united Methodist Church where he served in various organizations. John was preceded in death by his wife, Carletta Whittington. He is survived by 4 children, Wilma Whittington, Jacquilln Adderley (Bruce), Ralph Whittington (Sharon), and Yvonne Whittington; 4 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren and other family members and friends.
