JULY 7, 2005 DEAR DENA & FAMILY, I DO NOT KNOW WHAT TO SAY TO AT A TIME LIKE THIS, BUT BEFORE I KNEW YOU WERE HIS FIANCE, I WAS ALREADY PRAYING FOR YOU ASKING GOD TO GIVE YOU STRENGTH AND PEACE THROUGH THIS TRAGGIC TIME. My thoughts are with you all today. I had the absolute priviledge to have worked with Brian at Snowden Cottage (Ferris) for a little over a year and he made it fun to go to work. I have not met anyone in the 40+ years of my career who "lived" equality of ALL people the way he did. If people of differing races, religions, backgrounds, and lifestyles would take a page from his "book," much of the strife that plagues our lives would simply go away. I know you will miss him; we ALL share in your tremendous loss. His memory will continue to temper my approach to problems that can cause us to loose focus. I am indeed fortunate to have crossed paths with Brian.
