Obituary of Beatrice A. Downs

Age 87 of Wilmington, Delaware passed away peacefully Tuesday, May 31, 2005 at Manor Care Nursing Home. Mrs. Downs was born in Queen Anns County, Maryland to Isaac and Edith Downes. Beatrice moved to Wilmington in the 1940's and retired from domestic work in 1998. She leaves to cherish her memory a devoted nephew Michael T. Downes, his wife Mary and their sons Michael L and Marques R; sisters Viola Jarman, Elsie Wood and Mable Miller of Wilmington, Delaware; brothers, John Thomas Downes of Middletown, Delaware, Calvin Brown of Wilmington and Marvin Brown of Federalsburg, Maryland; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by 3 sisters, Emma Cain, Naomi Wright and Gladys Groce; 5 brothers, Wilson Downes, Sr., Isaac O. Downs, Jr., William Downes, George L.
