Obituary of Carvel Ross

Carvel "Bill" Ross, son of the late Matthew and Josephine Ross was born May 1, 1924 in Union, Maryland. He departed this life at Arbors Rehabilitation Center on Wednesday, May 18, 2005. He was educated in the Wilmington Public Schools and served in the United States Army During the Korean War. He was employed by Allied Corrugated Container Corporation (ACCC) and retired in 1989. During his tenure at ACCC, he served as a shop steward of PACE local Union# Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Hester A. Ross; a daughter, Nicole Parson and 7 brothers and 8 sisters. He leaves to cherish his memory 2 daughters, Carvella Jackson and Ida S. Shields; a son, Kello Wells all of Wilmington and a devoted niece, Paulette V. Ross-Washington and a devoted nephew Kevin Robinson of Wilmington; 12 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
