BISHOP LESTER L. GORDY, SR., age 88 of Wilmington, Delaware went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, May 15, 2005. Bishop Gordy was the Pastor & Overseer of the United Independent Methodist Church. Bishop Gordy leaves to cherish his memory a loving wife, Mrs. Gladys L. Gordy; 7 sons, Randel (Ianus), Ernest Turner (Patricia), Lester, Jr, (Rerate), Donald (Phyllis), Francis (Joane), Lawerence (Marianne); 2 daughters, Ella (Darrly Davis) and Ramonia Philips. He is also survived by 27 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren and a host nieces, nephews and cousins.
