I am so sad to hear about James' passing. I knew him for about 10 years when I worked at Christiana Hospital. He was the kindest, most dedicated person there, and this is a huge loss for everyone. But, God called him home, and it was his time. He will be greatly missed.

I just wanted your family to know that I was very sad to see that James had passed away. I have known James for about 25 years. He worked with me in Radiation Oncology when he first came to the Medical Center. He was always polite and respectful when I saw him. James and I came to be friends because we always crossed paths at work coincendentally, so much so that we finally introduced ourselves to each other. He always greeted me with a smile, kind words and encouragement. You knew that if James was in your corner, he was looking out for you. He was a friend to everyone he knew, and will be greatly missed at Christiana Care. He was unbelievably dedicated to his co-workers and had such a positive presence. I was saddened to her the passing of our beloved brother James. CCHS has lost one of the best. I met James when I was working at Christiana. I transfered to Wilm and when I would work at Christiana from time to time I would see James it was like I saw him yesterday. James was a kind and gentle person. I was truly sad to hear of James' untimely passing. I had the privilege to work directly with James quite frequently when I was a PCT on the floor @ CCHS. James was a hard worker and always helped out with transferring the patients. He could always be counted on for a kind word, a big hug and his wonderful smile. James you will be missed so much and to think that I will never hear in the halls of cchs "come here Missy"again saddens me. I am really without words at this moment. I am just now finding out about the passing of my friend James. He and I worked at CCHS for about 2 yrs together,but I would often see him there when I would do visitations. We would stand and talk Bible for as long as we could without getting in trouble. I really can't believe that he is gone. That smile of his,would brighten the day of any person he came in contact with.My prayers go out to and are with the Shaw family as well as the entire CCHS family. You as we all,will truly miss this jewel of a man. Rest on my friend.See you in the morning.

Christiana Hospital will never be the same without you, James. So sad for us to lose your smile and kindness so soon. I sincerely do not remember one time in my many years of working with you that you did not go out of your way to greet me; you were truly a gentleman, and I will miss the sunshine you brought me.
