Obituary of Jannie K. Ross

Ms. Jannie K. Ross was born and raised in Wilmington, Delaware on November 7, 1963 to Elease Chatman Ross Reed and the late Earl Ross Sr. From this union, Jannie was the 4th of 9 children. Jannie received her education in Wilmington, De. She graduated from Brandywine High School Jannie proclaimed her salvation and accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at the tender age of 14 years old. Jannie was a faithful member at Gospel Time COGIC under the leadership of the Elder Gentle Daniel. Jannie found love at the age of 17 and later joined in Holy Matrimony with Elder Kenneth L. T. Broomer in 1980. They were blessed with 3 beautiful children: Kenneth II, Keith, and Katrice Broomer. In 1992 the family moved to Jacksonville, FL. where she furthered her education in accounting and business earning an associate degree at University Phoenix. Jannie was the co-founder of Bibleway COGIC where she served in ministry. Jannie loved the Lord with all her heart. She firmly believed that prayer changes things. She was a woman of Praise and Worship; she loved to sing unto the Lord. While in Florida, she continued her career at BCBS for 23 plus years. Jannie was a very loving and caring person and touched many lives along the way. Her firm belief and love of God is something we shall all remember, but her smile, her voice, her generosity, is something we shall all treasure forever. A true definition of a virtuous woman better known as our "Lady Elegant." God called his angel home on Thurs. Apr. 12, 2012. Jannie K. Ross leaves to cherish her memories: 3 children: Kenneth II, Keith, and Katrice Broomer; 3 grandchildren: Kenneth III, Zacari and, Ja'Kayveon Broomer; mother: Elease Chapman Ross Reed; stepfather: Samuel Reed; brothers: Earl Jr.(Stephanie), and Anthony Ross, Derrick(Tykisha) and Freddick(Cora) Reed; sisters: Anita and Earlene Ross, Eva Reed, Sheila (Neil) Edwards; extended family: Broomer's and Blackshear's; devoted friends: Otha Frazier, Tquana Golden, and a host of nieces and nephews.
