Obituary of Diane Marie Cheatwood

Diane Marie Cheatwood, daughter of the late Lewis A. Cheatwood, Jr. and Vilma Rider Cheatwood Smith, was born on January 20, 1950 in Wilmington, Delaware. Diane went hometo be with the Lord on Friday, December 31, 2004 at the Christiana Hospital. She passed peacefully with her loving family by her side. She attended the Wilmington public schools and later graduated from Howard High School in 1968. Diane was baptized at Mt. Joy United Methodist Church at any early age. In her spare time, Diane loved to bake. She especially liked shopping from the Home Shopping Network and QVC. She also enjoyed watching wrestling with her grandson, Tymir on Monday nights. Before retiring after 20 years, Diane was a dedicated employee of AstraZeneca. In 1966, she was blessed with one devoted daughter, Kimberly Michelle Cheatwood and later with 2 grandchildren; Amber M. Cheatwood and Tymir L. Cheatwood. Diane was preceded in death by one sister, Kay F. Brown. She leaves to cherish her memory; her daughter and grandchildren; three sisters, Delores M. Cheatwood, Robin M. Cheatwood and one devoted sister, Carolyn M. Lea; three brothers, Lewis Cheatwood, III, Frederick Cheatwood and George Cheatwood; one brother-in-law, Douglas E. Lea; one sister-in-law, Debbie Cheatwood; one aunt, Carolyn Grinnell; one uncle, Allen Rider; one devoted friend, Leroy May, Jr. She also leaves a host of cousins, niece and nephews.
