Obituary of Alma C. Stewart
On Wednesday, October 15, 2014, Alma answered the Master's call and transitioned to life eternal. Alma C. Cooper Stewart was born on April 30, 1928 to the late John S. and Emma Jane Cooper in Port Penn, DE. She attended schools in Wilmington, graduating from Howard High School in 1946. She later graduated from Wilmington (University) College. After more than twenty-five years of teaching Head Start, Alma retired from the Red Clay School District. Her husband, Virgil L. Stewart, Sr., her son Virgil L. (Moose) Jr., four sisters and two brothers preceded Alma in death. She leaves to cherish her memory, her devoted daughter, Carolyn S. (Rufus) Fasakin, two grandsons, Dr. Taquan S. (Maunda) Stewart, Ahmad Stewart; one granddaughter Nikki J.
