Obituary of Lucy Moses Peterson

Lucy Moses Peterson, age 91, loving mother and mentor passed away peacefully surrounded by her family October 1, 2014. She was born February 17, 1923 to Elizabeth Trudale and Ernest Moses, Sr. of St. Matthews, South Carolina. She worked at Brandywine Mushroom Factory in Kennett Square and was a Nelle B. Ross Missionary at Mt. Olive Baptist Church. She was married to the late James H. Peterson who passed away in 1973. Together they had 10 daughters one of whom passed away in 2003, Margie Ann Peterson. Lucy liked cooking, soap operas, being surrounded by friends and family, and had an amazing talent for numbers. Lucy Peterson was an extra spirit who's legacy will continue for decades to come. She leaves to cherish her memories, children: Priscilla Gaines, Rosalie Hollis(Sylvester), Lillian Yates, Lou Jean Lawson(Daniel), Doris Johnson, Jackie Dodson, Florence Peterson, Katherine White(Walter) and Ruby Payne; 1 sister Lillie "Dot" Moses of Bronx, N.Y; niece Ann Norwood of Philadelphia, PA; 23 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren, 12 great-great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, friends and family.
