Dear Phil, Pat, Marla and Roosevelt, we were ready sadden to hear about the days ahead, but always remember that GOD is in control. I'm so glad that I got to see her one last time before she descended into heaven. The short time that my mom and I were able to spend with her before I went out of town will be treasured forever... Shirley was a dear friend whom I meet 40+ years ago through our mothers, and like our mothers we have been friends ever since. You know you have a true friend when no matter how long it has been since you have seen one another, it's always like you just saw them yesterday. Be encouraged and look to the hills from whence cometh your help. May God continue to bless you and yours and may you feel the warmth of his embrace each and every day.
