To Bev, Kenny & Family,
So sorry to hear of the passing of your MOM. I always heard so many wonderful things about her and the Beautiful person that she was. May all the good memories help to sustain you through the difficult times. Remember to be absent from the body is to be present with the LORD. He will comfort you and give you strength. Please know that we are praying for you and that we send our LOVE.

We grew up in Newark at a time when there were very few Blacks. This meant a close knit community and manners with respect were expected. As the years pass and those we loved and remembered start to pass away, it saddens us to lose that special someone However; that person envokes precious and loving memories otherwise forgotten. We shall remember Mrs Madeline Roy with many of those memories.
May GOD bless you and keep you.
Sincerely,
The Massado Family (Delores, Veronica, Lynn & Tara)

Grace, Dignity, Humor and class. How well this describes my Aunt Mack! Will carry the memories of making that drive to Newark Delaware all piled up in the White Family station wagon. Spending the day running in and out of the house and exploring the Roy's back yard. Aunt Mack you taught me even when you thought I had not heard you. I know you will be at the heavenly table sharing stories with, Butch, My Dad, Prince White, My Mom, Irma White and holding hands with Uncle Pudd. Tell them all to keep watch over us all and kiss my mom for me.

A valuable part of Newark is now missing. She was one the strongest, classiest women I will ever know and she taught me to have pride in myself as well as where I came from. I will carry the memories of Miss Madeline, Mr.Puddy and the Roy family gatherings for the rest of my life. You are in my prayers, Christina Matthews Monroe

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. When I have experienced the loss of a loved one,
I found great comfort in the words of Jesus at John 11:11, where he likens death to
being asleep, and at John 5:28,29 - "All those in the memorial tombs will hear his
voice and come out." What joy to be able to see our loved ones again !! For more
comfort, I turn to the website: www.jw.org

To the Roy family - Beverly and Vicky (with whom I attended school) and Doug (fb cousin) and Jamie and the rest of the family. I fondly remember Cousin Madeline from the time we grew up together and attending Pilgrim and having visited her in the last few years when I would visit Newark. She was such a lovely and sincere person. She often spoke fondly of her children and grandchildren and greats - too many for me to keep up with. :-) You are blessed to have had such a Mom. She has gone on and is now resting peacefully in the arms of Jesus. I feel richly blessed from having known her. I urge you to be at peace and allow God to remain in control. God bless. Love, Carolyn Settle Monroe
