Obituary of Arthur S Bowers

Arthur Sylvester Bowers, Jr. born in Pennsauken, New Jersey on March 9, 1942 to Arthur S. Bowers, Sr. and Mary M. Bowers. He was educated in the Wilmington Public School system. Affectionately know as "Buddy", he was a member of Westside Aces and loved spending time with his family and friends. He also loved fishing, crabbing and enjoyed watching sports on TV. He was a committed employee of General Motors Corporation for over 30 years until he retired. Arthur was married to Lorraine Catherine Colburn on June 30, 1962. Out of this union came Annette Miller(Melvin), Arthur, III(Kelley), Sharon White (Charles) and Anthony. After the passing of his wife Lorraine Bowers in January 1980, Arthur met and married Bernice Boyer in July of 1985. The joining of this couple included his step-daughter Chantay Boyer. Preceding him in death was his father Arthur S. Bowers, Sr., mother Mary M. Bowers, first wife Lorraine C. Bowers, son Anthony L. Bowers, 2 brothers Thomas and William Bowers and 1 sister Sylvia Calloway. He leaves to cherish his memories, 4 children, 15 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, 3 sisters Teresa Bullock (Thomas), Mary Masterson(Charles), Janette, 3 brothers Robert, James(Shirley), Charles(Deborah), 1 brother-in-law, 4 sisters-in-law, 1 aunt Marie Barksdale(Baby Sis), a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
