Obituary of Eugene Downs

Eugene Downs departed this life on April 3, 2014 surrounded by his family and minister in Newark, DE. He leaves to cherish his memory: his loving wife Gloria D. Downs of 53 years; his 3 daughters and sons-in-law, Cynthia R. and Leito Arnwine; Sandra L. and Lawrence (Downs-) Ellison; Glenda E. and Phillip Clay; 6 grandchildren; 1 brother-in-law and 4 sisters-in-law; many uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and an extensive Church family. He was born in Honey Grove, TX, and spent most of his years in Southern California. Eugene was preceded in death by his father, Amari Clark; his mother, Ruthie Bell Downs and adoptive father, Archibald Downs.
