I am so sorry to hear that Dameeka has gone on to see her Savior. I worked with Dameeka as her advisor helping her to find the balance between her educational dram and her need to take care of her health. I will miss her beautiful smile that lit up a room, her courage in the face of battle, her love for those around her and her faith that told everyone around her everything was going to be fine. To those that are left behind, know that Dameeka made a difference in people's lives, especially mine.

My heart is sadden by the passing of my friend dameeka. We meant a few years ago, when she moved in our neighborhood. Instantly her smile and spirit allowed us to become friends. We both had two boys who loved sports, especially football. I remember the two of us carpooling all the time. She never complained, always treated my son as he was family. What an amazing woman, I will miss you. Thank you for being there for me when my mom passed, and I will always be there for your family. God has received an amazing angel in heaven, gone but never forgotten.

I am truly heartsick about Dameeka's passing. I had the pleasure of meeting her last year at her Mom's pool. Such a good spirited and jolly person. I was amazed at her strength, as I later learned she was suffering on the inside. No one would have guessed by looking at her just what she was going through. I know she is just like her Mom, whom I consider "my rock". I only wish I could be as strong as these two unbelieveably strong women. Dameeka was a beautiful, loving and caring woman. There are no words I can say to ease all of your grief and pain, but I do believe that Dameeka is at peace and will no longer suffer. She is an Angel now and will watch over you all. God Bless and know you all are in my prayers.

I'm so sorry to hear about Dameeka's passing. I knew her from her classes at Cecil College. She always spoke about her family with such love and pride. I know she will be missed very much by her friends and family. She will also be missed at Cecil College where she always had a friendly smile, a funny story and warm hug for her friends.
