Obituary of John W Cooper

passed away peacefully on March 19, 2014 at Seasons Hospice-Christiana Hospital after a battle with Cancer. Mr. Cooper, affectionately know as "Pop" to some and "Cooper" to others was born on November 25, 1939 in Wilmington, Delaware. Son of the late John Cooper and Ella George. Mr. Cooper worked at the Chrysler Assembly Plant in Newark, De. For 30 years. He loved cooking, hunting, fishing, listening to jazz and his all time favorite "going to Delaware Park." Mr. Cooper was preceded in death by three brothers, Richard, Paul and Fred Young. He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife of 41 years, Mary A. Cooper, daughters Ella Burke and Debora Cooper; devoted daughters Inez Cooper and Letitia A. Howell, devoted son-in-law Ronnie Howell, Sr.; brothers John Cooper and Albert George(Joanne), sisters Lottie Chambers, Margaret Minatee, Ann Bell and Priscilla Ringold; 9 grandchildren including four devoted grandsons Everett Cooper, Sterling Howell, Ronnie Howell, Jr. and Christopher Howell; 7 great-grand children and a host of nieces and nephews.
