Jeanette Kennard

Obituary of Jeanette Rochelle Kennard

Jeanette Rochelle Kennard was called home by her Lord and Savior “Jesus Christ”, on March 10th, 2021, at Select HealthCare in Wilmington Delaware. She was the daughter of Linda Carole (Price) Cain, and the late George Jackson Jr. She was born in Wilmington Delaware on Wednesday February 19th 1975 at 6:00 am and continued to bring joy and laughter to everyone she met for the next 46 years.

As a child it was discovered that she had Juvenile Onset or “Type1” diabetes but Jeanette quickly learned to overcome this disease and thrived while being just a normal girl growing up with her family. During her teenage years it was easy to see that there was something special about her loyalty to those she loved. Her smile and laughter would always fill any room with joy and she quickly grew into a beautiful independent woman that would continue to bring joy to the many people she would meet in her life.

Jeanette was employed by Amtrak Passenger Railroad Corporation as an H.R. Generalist and truly enjoyed helping her team succeed. She was a passionate team player who liked to stay quiet, but wasn’t afraid to share her voice whenever she needed to do so.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory: her husband of over 20 years Robert Kennard and her teenage son Robert Kennard Jr. both of Wilmington, Delaware; her mother Linda Cain of Newark, Delaware; three brothers, George Jackson III and his wife Sharon of Charlotte, North Carolina; Robert Jackson and his wife Keisha of Jacksonville FL; and Artrice “Ralph” Price and his partner Tia, of Wilmington Delaware; in addition, she leaves behind nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
