Obituary of Angela Harden

Angela, affectionately known as “Angie”, was born December 24,  1963 to the late Willie Gorge Bishop and Ester Patterson. She  departed this life on February 28, 2021, in her home, surrounded  by family.  

Angela earned her education in the Wilmington Public School  system. Angela became employed with Amtrak in 1982, where she  worked for the last 38 years. On August 17, 1988 Angela was united in union, with the love of her life, James Harden. They had  2 beautiful daughters, Jametra and Janisha Harden. Angela loved  spending time with her grandsons who affectionately called her  “MiMi”. 

Angela was a determined and strong individual with a high spirit.  Even in her illness she encouraged and strengthened her family. 

Angela is proceeded in death by her father – Willie Gorge Bishop; mothers – Ester Patterson and Mary Louise Hopkins; brother – Robert Thompson; grandson – Jakwauhn Wilson.

Angela leaves to cherish in her memory her husband – James  Harden; daughters – Jametra and Janisha Harden; grandsons – Jy’aire, Javier, Jaemier Wilson and Jaycieon Williams; sisters – Sharon Bishop, Andrea Sampson{Fred}, Sharla Dawdy and Cathy  Clemons; brothers –Kevin Bishop {Josie}, Albert “Sam” Hopkins  {Joann}, Sidney Hopkins-Bey {Shirl} and Rodney Bey-Hopkins Bey; mother-in-law – Elaine Harden; sisters-in-law– Vera  Winder {Darryl} and Earlene Utly {Mark}; and a host of nieces,  nephews, cousins and friends.
