I was so sorry to hear of the passing of Angela. Angela was at the OSBA when I began practicing energy law, and I always looked to her as an example to emulate both professionally and personally. Later, she was one of my favorite administrative law judges before which to practice. May her memories be a comfort to the family during this very difficult time.

My condolences to Angela's mom and dad and extended family. Angela and I shared the passion for bridge and I fondly remember seeing her and her wonderful parents at many bridge tournaments. My biggest regret is that I never got the opportunity to play as her partner. However, we shared yet another bond. I've had the privilege to practice with and before Judge Jones for many years in my law practice as an energy and public utility lawyer. We just recently finished a case before Judge Jones. She was loved my many and will be sorely missed........Alan Seltzer

Dear Catherine and Mervin: I attended Angela's lovely home going service this morning (virtually). Thank you for providing a way for friends from all over to honor your wonderful daughter. I met all of you at the bridge table and always admired the closeness of your family with built-in traveling companions and bridge partners. I'm sure my fellow American Bridge Association members are as proud of Angela as I am. It warms our hearts to learn of the achievements of one of the "young" ones. Angela was a shining example of Black excellence and the Village was very proud of her. We will all miss Angela T. Jones, Esq. We will shed our tears and be thankful for the wonderful memories we have of the amazing woman you raised. I'm uploading two pictures of Angela at the bridge table. I apologize for not getting them to you for her slide presentation. -- Love, Brenda Polk, Portland, OR

Our sincere condolences to the family in this time of sorrow. "Ms. Ang", as we know her, started as my daughter Stephanie's math tutor and became a mentor and friend. Her encouragement helped Stephanie gain confidence it her ability and helped her to trust her knowledge. Her mentorship helped encourage Stephanie to attend college.
Ms. Ang, I did it! I graduated from DSU in December 2020 with a BS in Mass Communications. I am officially degreed!!
Thank you Ms. Ang for all you have done to encourage students towards success. Your "yes you can" attitude pushed Stephanie to think bigger and move further. God Bless You! "...well done thy good and faithful servant (Matthew 25:23)
With Love and Gratitude,
Courtney and Stephanie Finley

I extend my heartfelt sympathy to the Jones' family. Judge Jones was my friend and colleague. After she came to the Philadelphia office of the Public Utility Commission in 2005, we became good friends. We walked at lunchtime and travelled to meetings and conferences. She was generous and was always willing to help, She was a competent, fair and hard working judge. I will remember her as a problem solver and a caring and loving friend. May God bless the people that she touched. We will definitely miss her smile and her wonderful laugh.

Dear Family,
My deepest condolences to you and to all who knew and loved Judge Jones.
I worked as one of the Legal Assistants for Judge Angela T. Jones at the Philadelphia PUC. It was a pleasure knowing her professionally and personally. What a remarkable woman, what a well lived life! I thank God to have known such a beautiful soul. It seemed EVERYTHING she did, came from a genuine, caring place. I have never met anyone like her, and I don't think I ever will again!
I love you Judge Jones, my heart is truly broken, see you in that great gettin' up morning! I will never forget you!

Our deepest sympathy to the Jones family. We"ve known the parents for a number of years, as our families are AMEs and on many occasions my sister and I attended their home church in Philadelphia. One of the fondest memories I have is off the famiy whose devotion and love of God was always evident with their many services to their churches---like teaching sunday school and singing on the choir.
May the Lord continue to bless you.

Practicing before Angela at the PUC, I could count on "Judge Jones" to be demanding, fair, insightful, but above all humanistic. As a practitioner, I so looked forward to working with her on the law, but even more so hearing her latest challenges and adventures. She was a true gem and will be sadly missed.

As I reflect on having the honor of knowing Angela over the years. I recall her ever present smile, infectious laughter, and most of all, her intelligence.
Remembering, her elegance in a high school prom dress, seeing her light up in amazement in Dubai, enjoying herself cruising the Caribbean.
Angela was compassionate to those in need, always willing to listen without judgement, willing to share her heart ceaselessly, always giving words of encouragement when things seem at their worst. No one could ask for a better friend.
Learning of Angela’s passing is heart-wrenching. Saying goodbye to someone as kind, loving, gifted, important as Angela is hard, but knowing that God is in control is one way I’m coping.
To the Jones family I send to you my deepest condolences and utmost respect for raising this amazing woman of God.

Judge Jones was thoughtful, fair, and a pleasure to practice before. While her decisions didn’t always go my client’s way, they were reasonable, well written, and customer focused.
