Obituary of Elvored Winn Jr.

Elvored Winn Jr. was born on November 4, 1958, in Wilmington, DE. Born to Elvored Winn, Sr. and Rachel Mae Winn.  
Elvored Winn transitioned home to be with the Lord on February 13, 2021, at the Philadelphia VA Hospice. He was 62 years old.

Elvored, well known as OZ, received his early childhood education from Harlan Elementary School. He then graduated from P.S. DuPont High School. After graduation, he worked at Wilmington Dry Goods for many years. OZ, or Jr, as his family called him, decided to enlist in the United States Army where he received an honorable discharge. After serving his country, he was employed at Chrysler Corporation Local 1183 for 10 years.

Jr was a solid, die-hard Philadelphia sports fan. He loved the Philadelphia Phillies, the 76ers, and the Philadelphia Eagles. He was very knowledgeable in all sports, but especially boxing. Jr (OZ) loved listening to soul music of the '70s.  All that knew him knew he loved girl-watching and always had a joke for you. His laughter was infectious and will be truly missed.

Elvored Winn Jr. was prededed in death by his father, Elvored Winn Sr.

Jr is survived by his 2 loving children, Elvored Winn III and LaToya Johnson (Ronald); his mother Rachel; his siblings 1 brother; James Peters (Jeanne), and 3 sisters; Raythell Wells (Dillard), Crystal Snow (Reggie), Jacqueline O'Neil (James), and 7 grandchildren; Elshon Winn, Elvon Winn, Letina Winn, LeShona Winn, KeSean Boyd, Ronald Johnson Jr, Naailah Johnson and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Interment and Burial will be private
