It has been 8 days now, and my heart (like most who love you), is still heavy. As a little girl I saw you as a powerhouse (petite, smart, fashionable, witty and a world traveler). As I learned more of your story and how you navigated the corporate world and bounced backed from personal challenges, I saw and admired your resilience. Off and on throughout the years, when my face would look a certain way during conversations, some family members would say to me, "that expression was just like Aunt Mil". I grew to love that comment. I will miss talking to you about my successes and challenges as I have navigated the corporate world. I will miss your smile, your grace, your laugh, your voice and you saying..."you got that right"! I will miss you being here, supporting me and my siblings, and staying connected through calls and text with full-on emojis! My how I loved seeing your text with emojis!! I thank God for giving you to us. I rest in KNOWING that you are now a flower in His garden and that your spirit is with me and those you love...forever. I love you Auntie!
