Obituary of Batista Russ

Batista S Russ was born on December 11, 1972, in Milford Delaware, to Sara Lorraine Russ and
James W Palmer. She passed on January 4, 2021 at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital in
Philadelphia, PA.
Batista (Tish) received her early childhood education from Ada H. H. Lewis in Philadelphia, PA.
She graduated from Widener Memorial High School in Philadelphia, PA. Tish later moved back
to Delaware where she worked for modern maturity up until her health no longer permitted her to
do so.
Tish was faithful member of Byrd’s A.M.E Church in Clayton, De. She participated with the
Usher board, Choir, Bible study, and Missionary society. She had many hobbies and interest that
included doing nails, helping out others, volunteering at community and church functions. She
loved to travel and hang out with her family and friends as much as possible.
Tish was preceded in death by Beatrice E. Groves (grandmother), Merrill O. Russ (grandfather),
Charles Palmer (grandfather), Catherine Palmer (grandmother), and James W. Palmer (father).
Tish is survived by her mother Sara Lorraine Russ, and siblings Deborah Smith, James Palmer
Jr., William O. Russ, Teresa A. Wilson, Jason Palmer, and Christina L. Taylor, 10 nieces, 9
nephews, 1 grandnephew, 6 Aunts, 3 Uncles and a host cousins and friends.
