Obituary of April J. Selby

April Je'Mai Selby was born on August 14, 1954 in Bronx, New York to Dorothy Woods and the Late James Woodford.  Three days after April's birth she was separated from her mother and was raised by her aunt Geraldine.  April passed on November 12, 2020 at Kindred Hospital in Havertown, PA.  April graduated from Middletown High School.  She was always a really tough kind-a-girl and did not take any stuff from anyone, boy or girl. Early in life, April met Gregory Lattimore and they had their daughter Tamika Lattimore.  At the age of 24, April was reunited with her mother and 5 siblings.  Later, April met the late Elllie Selby, Jr. and they were united in holy matrimony and welcomed their new baby girl, Ebony Selby. April had many hobbies and interests such as: collecting elephant figurines, bowling, going to church, playing cards, watching movies and most importantly going shopping. April loved being fashionable! She loved her friends and family get-togethers’ and celebrations. When it came to dancing, you could not tell her anything. She loved house music! April enjoyed spending time with all her family. Especially when it came down to spending time with her brothers and sisters. April also loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren dearly and would take special time out for each one of them. However, the most cherished moments are the times she spent with her youngest daughter Ebony going different places, doing different things, and just having fun hanging out with her best friend. April was preceded in death by her father James Woodford. April is survived by her 2 devoted daughters Ebony (James) and Tamika Lattimore; mother Dorothy Woods; brothers: Michael (Debbie) Watson, Darrell (Carmon) Woods, and Stanford Woods; sisters: Deborah Anjum and Stephanie (Nicol) Woods; beloved grandchildren: Michael (Ale), Taja Joyner,Jasmine, Jayden and Je'Mai; great-grandchildren: Temari, Michelle "aka Teapot" and Azorea, a host of other relatives and friends.
