Obituary of Esther Elizabeth Benson

Age 72 yrs, died Tuesday, April 27, 2004 at home. She was born February 16, 1932 to the late William and Susie Cornish Casson. Esther enjoyed being a homemaker to her former late husband Mereal D. L. Benson, Sr. and children. Diane Veals, CA, Merle Fields, MD, Deborah Benson, Beverly Fountain, Mereald L. Benson, Jr., and Cynthia Benson-with whom she lived of DE. Esther also loved talking about God, decorating, traveling, reading and playing the piano. She was also a volunteer in the USO as a young woman. Besides her parents and former husband Esther was pre- deceased by her brothers Clarence, Robert and Donald Casson; sister Marion Casson and a daughter. In addition to her children, Esther is also survived by brothers Elmer and Oliver Casson; sisters Orpha Oates and Clementine Jones; a host of grandchildren, namely Phillip Grayson, with whom she also lived; and a host of great grandchildren.
