Obituary of Richard Louis Johnson, Sr.

Richard Louis Johnson, Sr was born on November 12, 1948 in Wilmington Delaware to Edward Louis Johnson, Sr. and Lucy Ann Irby. He passed on November 2, 2020 at home surrounded by his family. Richard received his early childhood education within the Delaware School system. After school he worked at Chrysler Corporation where he retired in 2005. RIchard had many hobbies and interests; fishing of course, was one of his favorite past times. He was preceded in death by his mother Lucy Ann Whitfield, his father Edward Louis Johnson, Sr., his brothers James Maybin, Cleve Brown and Randolph "Randy" Johnson, Sr.; his sisters Shirley Johnson and Beatrice Johnson. Richard is survived by his wife of 39 years, Emma Jean Johnson, children Richard "Agi" Johnson, Jr., Ugene Johnson(Krupa), Knyali WIlliams(Jonathan), Chere Wing and Anthony Younger(Harriet), siblings Yvone "Pinky" Brown, Mary Ann Cosden, Lucille "Bugsy" Grier, Edward Johnson, Jr.(Patty), William "Junie" Brown, Ashley Johnson, Daisy Johnson, Smiley Murphy, Connie Lowery, Geralding Scott and Eva Shaw; grandchildren Jasmin Johnson, Knyzheire Johnson, Keeair Boykins, Xzaevier Rivera, Keyaira Wing, Jonathan Williams, Jr., Ayiliah Johnson, King Richard Johnson, Ceaira Wing, De'Aira Wing, Zula Johnson and Vidya Johnson; goddaughters Diana Buchanan, Ashley Henry, Shekela Campbell, Dara Brown-Kasabo and a host of other relatives and friends.
