Obituary of Curtis H. Ford, Jr.

Curtis Harold Ford, Jr, was born on July 19, 1947 in Baltimore, MD, to the late Curtis Lincoln and Doris Ford. He departed this life on October 3, 2020 in Wilmington, DE. Curtis received his education from the public schools in Wilmington, DE and graduated from Howard High School. He worked for Delaware Trust Bank and retired from Stafford Chemical Company in Delaware City, Delaware. He was employed there for fifteen years. Curtis and his wife Laverne were joined in holy matrimony on July 15, 1967. Curtis accepted Christ as his personal Savior at Union Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Otis A. Herring. Later he attended Victory Christian Fellowship where he graduated under the leadership of Pastor Gary Whetstone. He was led the Lord to begin is own church on 2001. He attended Enlighten Bible Institute under the leadership of Bishop Marion T. Lott and was installed as Pastor of Chosen Outreach Ministries in 2007/2008. He loved to sing and his favorite song was “He Touched Me”. He was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Ford and sister, Apostle Mary Littlejohn. He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Laverne Ford; children: Toni Renee (Shawn) Chandler; Brian Keith (Renay) Ford; grandchildren: Brianna Ford, Shawn Chandler, Jr., Ezekiel Ford and Jakin Ford; brother, Jerry Ford; sisters Diane (Earl) King, and Apostle Peggy White. And a host of other relatives, friends and special friend, Pastor Donald Gilbert.
