Obituary of Sandra Denise Selby

Life began for Sandra Denise Taylor (Selby) in Wilmington, DE on November 28, 1960. She was the daughter of the late Earl w. Taylor, Sr. & Hortense O. Taylor. Sandy departed this life at the Christiana Care/Wilmington Hospital on September 28, 2020 at the tender age of fifty-nine years old. She was a proud 1978 graduate of P.S. Dupont High School. Sandy held several jobs at Soil-A-Way and Adjust a Drape for many years. She was a very popular hostess at The Sizzler restaurant. She was a dedicated employee working for the Compassionate Patient Care as a Dietary Aide at the Memorial Hospital/Christiana Care. Sandy grew up in the Mother Church of God in Christ where she enjoyed singing in the choir.   Sandy enjoyed spending time with her only son Khalil Malik Taylor. She enjoyed travelling with him to West Virginia, where he spoiled her and made her so happy. Her favorite food was fried chicken and fried potatoes and she loved chocolate candy. Sandy had great pleasure, enjoying her great nieces and nephews. She was an awesome babysitter and her specialty was keeping things clean. Sandy enjoyed braiding hair and was a very stylish dresser. Family dinners will never be the same again without her raspy voice wanting to make her plates of food to go. She was a beautiful, loving and kind spirited person. She sincerely touched the lives of everyone she meets. Sandy was predeceased in death by her father Earl W. Taylor, Sr. and her mother Hortense O. Taylor. She leaves to cherish her memories her son Khalil Malik Taylor; two grandchildren Khalil Malik Taylor, Jr. & Khalilah Malikah Taylor; eight brothers & sisters: Bernard L. Brown, Deborah R. Brown, Cathy M. Payne, Albert W. Brown (Ethel), Keith L. Brown (Shanta), Wanda L. Campbell (French) Terri L. Hill (Charles), Earl W. Taylor, Jr. (Wendy); and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
