Obituary of Rose O'Dear Tolbert

Rosie O’Dear Tolbert, daughter of late Lillian Wing and John Henry Reeves, was born July 5th, 1935 in Delaware. She endured a long illness that initiated her departure from this life on Wednesday, September 30th, 2020 in Wilmington Christiana Care Hospital. She received her early education in New Castle County Public Schools in Wilmington, Delaware. She was employed as a Nutritional Worker, Certified Nursing Assistant, and also a Foster Care Parent. Rose was married in 1967 to her late husband Alphonso C. Tolbert. To this union, one child was born, Rejeana Tolbert. She was a faithful member at Mt. Calvary Church of God In Christ from 1983 to 1996, After which she became an active member at Miracle Temple Holy Church were she served on the Missionary Board. Rose loved to sing, spend time with her grandkids, knitting, catalog shopping, playing cards, going to the racetracks, and hitting the casinos. She is preceded in death by her late husband Alphonso C. Tolbert, 3 Sons Earl Stoner, Bernard D. Reeves, Zachary Stoner, 1 Daughter Canda Stoner. She is survived by her 4 Sons Ronald, Robert, Marvin, and Kevin Stoner, 2 Daughters Wanda Stoner and Rejeana Tolbert, and 2 Daugther In Law Sylvia Stoner and Brenda Stoner. She also had four adopted children, 3 daughters Shawn, Shelise, Shondeia Tolbert, and 1 son George Tolbert. Rose had 36 Grandchildren, 24 Great-Grandchildren, and 17 Great-Great Grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends
