Obituary of Jahmaz D. Bealer

Jahmaz Dawud Bealer was born March 13, 1983 to James and Janice Parris. He departed this life unexpectedly on Wednesday September 23, 2020 in Wichita, Kansas. Jahmaz was born in Plainfield, NJ, affectionately called Maz by all. He received his education in the Pennsauken School District. He was employed with Dry Basement and Sam’s Club. Jahmaz accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his Savior at an early age while attending Faith Tabernacle Church of the Living God in Camden, NJ. His mother was determined to instill the word of God in him and one way that she did was before Jahmaz could go outside to play, he had to answer Bible story questions off cards. She became amazed at how quick he would learn them. Jahmaz enjoyed playing basketball, he was a Dallas Mavericks fan and when it came to football, he was a diehard Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He got a kick out of having his friends do push up challenges. When it came to cooking, he was the chef in the kitchen. Jahmaz was good for blowing up his mother’s phone at any time of the day. He had the gift of gap and could talk on the phone for hours with multiple people at one time. He liked rap, battle videos and liked listening to the Lox. He was a very sociable guy, a true friend and would go out his way to do whatever he could when in a time of need. He enjoyed family road trips and spending time with his nephew Jah’siy and niece Sky. God blessed Maz with his first child at the age of 36. Jahmaz, Jr. bought so much joy to his father’s life, he was so happy to have become a father. He was devoted to spending all the time he could with his son up until his last days. Jahmaz, Jr. meant the world to him. He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather Alexander Bealer and his paternal grandparents Roland and Lucy Parris. Jahmaz leaves behind his only child Jahmaz, Jr.; his loving mother Janice Parris of Penns Grove, NJ and his father James Parris (Maureen) Pittsburg; his sister Ten’ah Parris (CJ) Penns Grove, NJ and his only living Grandmother, Jean Bealer. Jahmaz also leaves behind his close brother-cousin Sharod High, a close cousin Akeem Bealer, his best friend Brandon Green, his son’s mother Samantha Beeson and a host of other relatives and friends.
