Obituary of Andrew R. Peebles
Andrew Robert Peebles was born on February 18, 1958 to Bessie Mae Peebles and Henry Walter Peebles in Wilmington, DE. He passed away on June 21, 2020 peacefully at his residence in Wilmington, DE. Andrew “Scrap” as he is affectionately known received his early education in Wilmington public schools. Scrap was employed with General Motors from 1981 to 1986, thereafter, which he started his new career in 1986 with Red Clay Consolidated School District where he retired from in 2016 after 30 years of service. Scrap loved to spend time with his family, fishing ,fixing things, drawing, playing music and sports, especially watching his favorite team, the Indianapolis Colts play football. Scrap would always touch those who he came across with his infectious smile and one of a kind laugh.
Andrew was preceded in death by his parents Henry Walter Peebles and Bessie Mae Peebles, brother Everett Peebles and sister Darlene Bell.
Andrew leaves to forever cherish his memories, long-time girlfriend Elizabeth Morris; 4 children Andrew Frazier, Marcus Morris, Markeeta Morris and Dexter Briggs; 1 sister Sherry Brown; 2 brothers Jerome DeLoatch and Walter DeLoatch; 4 grandchildren; devoted friends Terry Walls and Walter Carter and a host of other family and friends.
