Obituary of Michael Alvin Byrd

Michael Alvin Byrd was born on May 21, 1966, at Jefferson Hospital in Philadelphia, PA to Winston M. Byrd, Sr. and Nellie C. Byrd. He passed on Monday, June 22, 2020 in Glenolden, PA. "Mike" received his early childhood education from St. Joseph's Catholic School in Camden, NJ, and graduated from Gateway Regional High School in 1984. After school in May of 1985, Michael worked for US Airways, which then was acquired by American Airlines where he continued diligently and as a valued employee for 35 years. Michael loved and played sports and cars, especially Chevy's. He also was an avid and diverse music lover, nostalgist, art lover and enjoyer of a good time. Michael was the quintessential "great dude". Michael is survived by his parents, Winston, Sr. and Nellie, and his younger brother, Winston, Jr., his aunt Dorothy Smith, his uncle Cornell Smith Jr., and a host of cousins and friends.
