Christianne Pierre

Obituary of Christianne Pierre

Christianne Pierre was born on October 4, 1931 in a small Province of Cavaillon, Haiti. Daughter to the late Elicia Alce mother and Simeon Pierre father, Christianne had 1 sister and 3 brothers. On May 6, 2020, Christianne the last surviving member of the family went home to reunite with her parents and siblings. Christianne will also be reunited with her son who had pasted in 1961. After leaving Haiti over 35 years ago, she spent most of her life in Brooklyn NY, where she made so many close friends and people who would become family. The work she did while living in Brooklyn NY with children have helped shaped the next generation. Christianne lived a very difficult life, however through it all, with resiliency and perseverance, she has overcome every barrier and obstacle that was placed in her path. Christianne was a God fearing woman, someone that love people and most of all, loved God and her family. She is survived by 6 children, 20 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren. Christianne was a great mother, but most importantly, she was an exceptional grandmother and great grandmother. As she loved and had a heart for children, you would always find her caring and providing for them during events and family functions. Anyone who knew Christianne knew she truly believed that it “took a village to raise a child.” Christianne first love was God, she was a praying woman who prayed at least at least 3 times a day. No matter the situation, whenever she would hear of her family being in trouble, this is when she would pray endlessly. She loved her family and would go the extra mile for anyone and everyone. In doing so, Christianne, would also have her prayer warriors (sisters in Christ) pray with her, as she ultimately entrusted her final request to God, and she knew without a doubt that everything would be alright. On May 6, 2020, after seven years of pain and suffering, and continuously battling, God finally called his Angel home to be with him. Christianne knew the Doctors have written her off so many times, as she was given a month or two to live since 2013. Yet, Christianne was a warrior and by the Grace of God, she continued to persevere and gave us seven more glorious years on earth. Now it’s time to rest, enjoy paradise, and be with the son of the living God. I know God is saying “well done thy good and faithful servant.” Christianne, God has called you home and your family will forever love you and miss you dearly. John 14. 1-4, 6 1 Let not your Heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. 2 In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. 4 And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know. 6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way the truth, and the life; no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
