Obituary of Frances E. McDanill

Frances was born on September 13, 1922 in Whitford, Pennsylvania to Pauline E. Berry and Ralph Thomas. She got her angel wings on Thursday, April 30, 2020 in Christiana Hospital in Newark, Delaware. Frances received her early childhood education from East Whiteland Township Schools in Pennsylvania. She moved to Delaware in 1948. She worked various jobs before becoming employed at Wilmington Ballet Academy in the early 1970s until she retired in 2001. Soon after retiring she began volunteering at the Salvation Army until 2018 earning many certificates of Appreciation for her many years of volunteer work there. Known as Mother McDanill to her church family, she was as a faithful longtime member of Temple United Church where she earned the title of Evangelist in 1999. She knew many songs and loved to sing. Her other hobbies and interest included writing songs and poetry, reading her bible, ministering, crocheting, word search puzzles, watching sports and games shows and spending time with her loved ones. Frances was preceded in death by her parents, husband Haze McDanill, Sr., 6 children and 1 granddaughter. She is survived by 1 son Charles Berry, 14 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, 16 great-great grandchildren, 1 great-great-great granddaughter and a host of other relatives and friends.
