Obituary of Deborah Ann Allen

Deborah Allen was born on December 17, 1951 as the child of Neva Mae Moss and Robert Allen, to whom she learned how to love and what family was. Her brothers and sisters: the late Robert Allen, the late James Allen, Donna Brown, Keith Allen, Alice Walker, Julius Allen, Edith Rogers, Johnny Person, the late Marsha Jones, Brian Allen, Jason Allen, and Laverne Johnson, also taught her the meaning of understanding and love. Motherhood, and the help of her long time friend Sam Coates, gave her strength to graduate high school and become a graduate of Goldey-Beacom College with a degree in Bookkeeping. This academic achievement lead her to a 18-year career with Chase Manhattan Bank. While maintaining her career she managed to raise three children: Sharon Minor, Barbara Davis, and Purvest Allen. These three beautiful children provided her with four grandchildren and two great grandchildren: Kevin, Sharice, Robert, Deborah, Serenity, and Rah'Mere, who she spent time with and taught them about family and love. When you remember Deborah, your mom, grandmom, auntie, sister or friend, remember she will always be here with us because a family's love is forever. We will all miss her! To find Deborah, look to her children and grandchildren as these are the legacies that she leaves behind. She also leaves behind several cousins and nieces and nephews. Can't leave out her favorite niece Leona White whom she loved going to bingo with in her spare time. Deborah passed on Sunday, May 3, 2020.
