Tony Holloman

Obituary of Tony Lee Holloman

Tony was born on May 14, 1963, in Wilmington, DE to Della Louise Holloman and the late Ernest Linwood Holloman. Tony's departure was on the evening of March 9, 2020 in Wilmington, DE. Tony received his early education from North East Elementary, Warner Middle School and graduated from Howard High School. Thereafter, he proceeded working for Christiana Hospital for many years and later began working for Zenith as a Material Handler. Tony enjoyed working and laying off with a few friends after work talking about any and everything. Tony was a Red Skins fan and known as a get to the point, honest, opinionated person about many controversial issues while using his favorite quote “Did you hear me?”. Tony would argue you down to get his point across if he didn’t agree with something you said; yet if he knew you needed something and if he had it he would make sure you received it. If you like a good debate or just feel like discussing a topic of any kind, if Tony was around you will hear his point on every topic mentioned. Why? Because Tony was an expert on every topic, in his mind. Although Tony was a let me get my point across, he was also a kind hearted person. Music, Music, and Music!! Tony was a lover of Music (R & B, Hip Hop, Old School and Gospel). In his early late teens, twenties and thirties Tony enjoyed his years as a DJ for requested parties and club events. Tony’s two others brothers, Chris and Dave were his side kicks. Tony would bring the music, Chris would engineer all the equipment set up turn tables and speakers and Dave would rap. Every album you could think of Tony had that album with turn tables mixing and scratching to the beat of the music while bobbing his head. I don’t think that he knew during his childhood that his little sister, Mary, would sneak into his room when he was gone and play most of his albums, while trying to mix and scratch on the turn tables. Tony enjoyed spending time with Boe (Linwood) and Chris and Dave talking smack; while cooking and barbecuing for and with family and friends. Tony you will be missed, arguments, loud talking and all in love. We love you and know you are now resting in a better place. Tony is survived by his mother, Della Louise Holloman; three brothers, Linwood, Chris, Dave and one sister, Mary, niece Ryeasha Clayton, niece Camryn Washington, nephews LJ and Jeremiah Washington and a great niece Laila Clayton a host of cousins, uncles, Aunts, friends and co-workers.
