I was maybe 5 or 6 years old when the Hitch family moved next store to us on Heald Street. We instantly became an unbreakable band of brothers. I remember sitting in the park, one hot summer night, when we all gave each other names that would stick with us the rest of our lives. Arthur chose Ace - a name that somehow fit him perfectly. He was always an "Ace" in our deck, no matter what we did. Rather it was flipping outside on the grass, or walking around with a 1,000 pairs of tube socks - Ace always stood above us all. As we grew up and moved away from Heald Street, the memory of Arthur "Ace" Hitch stayed with me, reminding me that no matter how hard things got, to always be an ACE!
