Lane H.S. Susan met and married her first husband Willard McKinney. They had 2 children out of their union, Sheryle (Mitzi) McKinney Daniels and Derryl (Winky) McKinney, who had proceeded her in death. Suzy Q, one of her many nicknames, had her first job at Ideal Toy Co. then moved on to the N.Y. She met and married her second husband, Thomas McKenzie, and from that union, Sue had her third child Eric (Poppa) McKenzie. Growing up Susan loved roller skating, ice skating, reading, music, and dancing. Sue would always brag about the wonderful childhood that she had, especially meeting and being with her lifelong friends from the age of 12, Josie, Fuzzy & Clara. As an adult, Sue still loved dancing if “Bill & Bob”, her knees, would allow it, music, traveling and her favorite, going to the movies. Sue met 2 more people that became lifelong friends, Cynthia & Etta. These 5 women are the sisters she never had.
