Obituary of Susan Cooper

Susan Cooper was born on April 25, 1955 in Wilmington, Delaware to Pinky and Ran Bailey. She passed away on February 12, 2020 at Christiana Hospital amongst family. Susie graduated from Wilmington High School and went on to work in Environmental Services at various locations. Susie was a faithful member of St. Paul U.A.M.E. Church. She had many hobbies and interest such as cooking, having parties and family gatherings and puzzles. Susie is preceded in death by her parents Pinky and Ran Bailey, her stepfather William Banks, her brothers William Hopkins and Jeffrey Bailey and her best friend Louise Galmore. Susie is survived by her husband Gary Cooper, her siblings Tyrone Bailey (Earlene), Patricia Hardy, and Darlene Fredrick. Her children Donnell Bailey (Joy Bailey), Katina Bailey, Kassandra Bailey, Angel Tyler (Curtis Tyler), Sherika Bailey, and Destri Booker (Tia Booker). Her grandchildren Brittney Bailey (Kyle), Donjerea Mills, Byron Bailey, Jasmine Bailey, Santasia Bailey, Lashawn Douglas, Jermiere Dollard, Asia Bailey, Brooklyn Bailey, Key-Asia Bailey, Theodore Wilson, Siani Bailey, Saniyah Bailey, Donnell Bailey Jr, Amare Bailey, Dean Booker, and Kevin Brown Jr. Ten great grandchildren, two of which are due to be born this spring and a host of family and friends. Although Susie is no longer with us we’ll always admire her for her strength, her courage and her will to fight. She didn’t give up easily! She is loved and will truly be missed.
