Obituary of Claudette Thomas

Claudette Thomas was born June 4,1935 in Rhoda, VA the daughter of the late Ernest Sr, and Lillie Mae Pinkston. She departed this life on February 13, 2020 at the Select Care Hospital in Wilmington, DE Claudette attended public schools in Big Stone Gap, VA and graduated high school in 1953. Claudette moved to Delaware around 1954 and worked for the state of Delaware for over 30 years. In 1974 she was united in holy matrimony to Denormous Thomas. Claudette enjoyed music, gospel, traveling, spending time with family, friends, and enjoyed cooking. Claudette joined Coleman Methodist Church until she had to take care of her husband's failing health. In addition to her late parents Claudette was preceded in death by her husband, Denormous Thomas, her son Kevin Barnes, a devoted grandson Duane Pinkston, and her great great granddaughter Unique Perrigan . Four siblings, Earnest Jr., James, Jeanette, and Artist Pinkston. Claudette leaves to cherish her memory her two daughters, Angela and Sonya Pinkston, her devoted grandson Aaron Pinkston Sr.(Amber), a devoted caregiver Amber Hoffmaster. Four grandchildren, Shawana McIntosh, Kevin Richardson, and Ronald Brooks III. Thirteen great grandchildren, Dyamond Pinkston, Kyri McIntosh, Nyri McIntosh, Jasian Wilmore, Ke`azia Richardson, Aaron Pinkston Jr., Jaylynn Pinkston, Aaleigha Bell-Pinkston, Eliyjah Pinkston, Cameron Ocasio, Kwali Pinkston, Lyrik Pinkston, and Gage Pinkston. Three great great grand children, London Pinkston, Bahshir Collins, and Da`Shawn Perrigan. Four sisters, Katie Mae Hill, Mary Pittman, Shelia Pinkston (Big Stone Gap, VA, and Cecilla Pinkston (Hopewell, VA), One aunt Anna Mae Earl (Chester, PA), and a special nephew William Pinkston Sr., and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
