Obituary of Icerene L. Johnson

Icerene L. Johnson, known as “Snow”, was boron on January 30, 1936 in Jemison, Alabama to Esley & Alice Johnson. She departed this life on November 3, 2019 at St. Francis Hospital in Wilmington, DE.

Icerene attended Jemison High School and also attended Tuskegee University for a year.

Icerene worked as a CNA while living in New York.

Icerene was not a member of a church but she considered New Hope Baptist to be her home. We all knew she was a believer and loved the Lord above all others. Her greatest desire was to see all that she loves saved and filled with the Holy Ghost. She surely believed in speaking in tongues.

Icerene was proceed in death by her father and Mother Esley and Alice Johnson and Brothers Robert, Ollie, and Edward Johnson, sister Bernice House and her daughter Sue Cuffey.

Icerene leaves to cherish her memories: William Cuffey of Queens New York, Samuel Cuffey Sr. (Carla) of Wilmington, DE; 6 Grandchildren: Samuel Cuffey JR. Troy and Tammy Swaggerty, Quaneisha Woodriffe, Lashontae Cuffey, Shamicqua Cuffey; 2 Great Grandchildren: Simone and Iraj Cuffey; 5 sisters: Mary Randolph, Essie Mixon, Grace Howard, Callie Wilson and Alvannah McIvey, and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
