Obituary of Ray J. Romano

Ray J. Romano passed away peacefully on September 3rd, 2019 in Baltimore, MD at Johns Hopkins Hospital at the age of 66.

Ray Romano was born on March 21, 1953, in Wilmington, DE, where he was a lifetime resident. He worked as a self-employed contractor and a former Physical Education Teacher. He enjoyed watching sports and was a longtime fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, New York Yankees and New York Knicks. Ray was loved by many friends and family who will miss him dearly.

Ray is preceded in death by his father, Romelo Romano and mother, Doris Brittingham.


Ray is survived by his former spouse, Denise; his children; Ray (Regina), Chris (Tanesha), Carly Vega (Josh), Jaqueline “Too” & Mikey Bailey, and Nicholas “Nicky” Romano, all from Delaware; his loving grandchildren; Johnny Matthews, Raevyn, Ray (Little Ray), Ace, and Anthony Huff-Vega; his five sisters; Marie Blest (Keith), Maryann Brittingham, Rosely Wallace,Doris Jean Artymenko, and Kathy Peterson; in addition to a host of nieces and nephews.
