Obituary of Gregory A. Ringgold

Gregory was born on August 8, 1952 in Wilmington DE to Maxine E Macklin Sanders Ringgold- Payne and Ronald Ringgold. 

Gregory passed on September 5, 2019 at the Season's Hospice in Newark, DE.

Gregory received his early childhood education from the Wilmington Public School System, he attended Howard High and later received his GED from the James H. Groves Adult School.  Gregory worked as a Longshoreman at the Port of Wilmington for 46 years with ILA Local 1694. Gregory's favorite interest/past times varied from being a gardener extraordinaire to traveling and waiting for the Denver Broncos to beat every team in the league.

Gregory was preceded in Death by: Maxine E. Payne (Mother), Jarvis Foote (Son), Prince Foote (Grandson) and Ainsley S Cumberbatch Jr. (Grandson).

Gregory is survived by his loving wife, Audrey R Whittle-Ringgold; children, Koshelva J M Whittle and Aljana W Whittle; brother, Douglas Ringgold; aunt, Mildred Rice

numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, a host relatives and friends.
