Obituary of EraMary Spann

Mother EraMary Spann daughter of the late Ellis and Lizzie Harris was born on May 31, 1912 in Gosport, Alabama. She peacefully departed this life July 27, 2013 at the age 101. In 1952, she met and was later united in Holy Matrimony to the late Johnnie Spann. She was a member of the Ebenezer Baptist Church and served on the Senior Choir, Usher Board and Mother Board. She enjoyed word search books, visiting with her friends, the late Betty Glenn and Hilda Smith, traveling with family and watching children. "Nanny" as she was affectionately known, would often help her daughter with her daycare, instructing children, "No talking while my stories are on!" She leaves to cherish her memories her one and only daughter Ola Mae Fayson and son-in-law Richard Fayson, II, 3 grandchildren Stanley (Laverne), Richard, III(Carolyn) and Era Mae; 12 great-grandchildren, 34 great-great grandchildren, 5 great-great-great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.
